Chris Filardi is the Biodiversity Scientist for Pacific Programs for the American Museum of Natural History's Center for Biodiversity and Conservation. Chris has worked in the Solomon Island for over a decade, and his research uses molecular tools to uncover patterns of biological diversity in the South Pacific. Al Uy
Al Uy is an assistant professor at the Department of Biology at Syracuse University. He has worked in the Solomon Islands since 2006. His work, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, attempts to uncover the ecological and genetic factors that create biodiversity in island birds. Prior to working in the Solomon Islands, Al also conducted research in New Guinea, Indonesia, Australia, Panama, Costa Rica and Ecuador.
